Comments Thread For: Hearn: If Joshua Wins Rematch, He's Bigger Star Than Before Loss

Eddie Hearn, promoter for Anthony Joshua, says the boxer's career will be at stake in the rematch with Andy Ruiz. On Saturday night, Joshua's world came crashing down when he was stopped by Andy Ruiz in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Ruiz spoiled Joshua's United States debut, by dropping the British star four times for a seventh round TKO at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

No and Joshua better not run to the final bell. That's the only way he can win. But if Ruiz blows hard enough, the wind should knock Joshua over.

Hearn does not know what he is talking about ... Joshua if he recovered from that third round hit ... he kept fighting and even hurt Ruiz again in the seventh ... but Ruiz's answers to those Joshua hits were frightening. ... he hit Joshua again with his speed and then he took him out of the race in the seventh ... that's the truth ... Hearn hurts Joshua with those excuses ... better encourage him to improve his jab and that he learns to hold on when he's in danger ... Ruiz will knock him out again if Joshua keeps fighting like this .....

Sounds like you Americans dont know a competitive card when you see one. Haymon been setting up too many mismatches for you guys? Giving you guys easy wins on a plate.

And Eddie Hearn dont need to clown Wilder, the man clowns himself. Had so many opportunities to face AJ by now and fight for those belts and never did. He said he gambled on himself by not fighting AJ yet he has watched somebody else make a career high pay day and take the belts from Joshua. Good gamble Deontay Ruiz has just stepped over you by ACTUALLY ******** on himself.

Another clueless british d-bag! No one ducked china chin. Hearn and Joshua did not want that work. They knew what the outcome would be. A.J would have been knocked out cold in one round. Wilder will continue knocking dudes out while the brits search for the next paper tiger. Frank Bruno 2.0 showed his true british colors: No heart, no chin , and no balls!

What work did AJ and Hearn not want? Wilder? Wilder kept turning down the offers and nor him or his team were countering those offers with better offers. They just went and lined up some in house fights for Wilder.

Dont be thinking all those facts have melted away cuz Ruiz knocked AJ out. Wilder ducking still happened. Wilder just hung back and allowed somebody else to get that work and win those belts.

After reading the article, i understand that the rematch clause does not guarantee the rematch in UK. He is saying that the first fight happened in Ruiz country so that the rematch should happen in UK. Come on Eddie, you will be dealing with Al and it won't be that easy. Please give the fans some truth.

Maybe more people will know his name, but honestly it's for all the wrong reasons so I think Eddie's barking up the wrong tree. The only way for Joshua to get back above where he was is to beat Fury and Wilder, and assuming neither of them lose in the interim Joshua will be a clear underdog in both of those fights now.
