It’s ridiculous and enough is enough. The wba belt should now be considered trash
WBC and WBA are on the same level when it comes to being trash and corrupt. Why single out one?

I just heard that Hearn has options on Ruiz for 3 fights. This could get interesting with the belts though. If Arum was smart, he would pull a Duva and make a huge stink about getting Pulev a title shot. It was quite disturbing how fast the IBF moved in on Fury. Fury couldn't even climb out the ring without the IBF causing static.

Hearn has been blabbing non-stop about the conditions involved with a possible rematch. But I would like to know what stipulations are in that contract. Because, Ruiz is now the Champ and he doesn't operate under Hearn's Matchroom banner.

Does the contract explicitly state that if Ruiz wins, Hearn who represents Matchroom, would DICTATE what happens next, where and when?

Or does Ruiz (The New Champ) have the option to pursue other choices.

Hearn may be trying to steamroll Ruiz into doing what works for Matchroom and AJ, negating the fact that Ruiz may have no obligation to do what Matchroom wants. Even though the financial rewards may be immediately greater.

I state "immediately" because, believe it or not Ruiz holds all the proper cards. And with good guidance can make a fortune while he holds all the belts.

AJ earned four times what Ruiz made in their fight. Ruiz has every right to demand the lion's share of the purse for a rematch. And if the finances isn't binding per contract, then Hearn\Matchroon can be bent over and plugged good for a 70/30 split in Ruiz's favor.

        Just a thought ......

Why not ? That's how Joshua got the IBF title after it was stripped from Fury because he had a rematch clause with Klitschko. So Martin won it from glasov and Joshua from prince Charles Martin

There's no Charles Martin or Siarhei Liakhovic types like with the IBF and WBO.
They just take a discounted sanctioning fee so they can have someone hold a belt on TV.

            What a joke.

Name me the other IBO champs.

The IBF actually stripped him before Wlad had officially triggered the rematch clause.

They couldn’t wait to get that belt off Fury for some reason.

I’d imagine the rematch clause already had the split worked out for a rematch. That’s why Dillian Whyte turned down the fight with AJ, because he didn’t like the rematch clause if he won

We'll hearn was the promoter for the first fight and Ruiz signed the contact it seems like he's under hearns mercy for the second fight. Unless of course he drops the belts or paid step aside money or something ******. If i was him i would fight in Mexico in July verse a bum then do the rematch with AJ.
We gotta see how this plays out.

Why UK Joshua is no longer the champ, rematch should be either Vegas or Mexico.

I too have to wonder how all this will play out, and I hope that Andy's team do everything possible to prevent Hearn from orchestrating all aspects of the rematch. It was Hearn's fighter, AJ, who Andy repeatedly brained, and it is his fighter who ought to bear the burden of being the challenger. Andy is now the champion, and AJ is now the piss-boy.
