The rematch was likely very sewn up in matchrooms favour. Multiple fighters most recently Jarrel Miller have said the reason fights aren't happening is they are so worried about the first loss they are negotiating 2-3 fights in future and that makes sense now to hear Hearn has options on Ruizz' next 3 fights. Fits what we have heard before.

Have a think about it, do you really think as a late replacement being paid 10 or 20 times his career high pay Ruiz really would have been questioning the rematch clause (which Hearn drew up) too closely. I'd think not, he took the massive (for him) money and bet on himself and won, now he has the belts is known around the world and will get another massive life changing payday.

How ****** does Ruiz make Whyte & Ortiz look, this could have been them but they tried to squeeze more money than they were worth and got nothing, Ruiz gambled and hit the jackpot.
