but sooner or later you have to be realistic

the joshuas have made aloottttttt of money....so hearn set up another nice payday which was in turn going to set up some hugeeee paydays....and this was just the natural course to plot for AJ......

The dad isn't doing him any favors if he's outing his son's mental weaknesses. The guy shouldn't be allowed near AJ in future fights if he's trying to stop fights, screaming at Hearn in the ring, talking about back-stage stuff after the fight, etc.

i was more or less talking about him jawing at hearn when ruiz was being interviewed...it seemed he was upset at hearn and AJ had to talk his dad down

i cant put any fault on hearn...theres a "no return" point on a fight like this....if AJ was having nerves in miami he should have caught an "injury"...but he came to NY and theres no turning back imo

but was he about to return any money to hearn that they had earned in prior fights to repay hearn for cancelling the event? i bet he wasnt........hearn has made them alot of money( i know probably any promoter could have but thats not the point) and i feel like it was too late to cancel anything...like someone mentioned in another thread "this is highstakes prizefighting"....he had to man up....which i guess he did if he didnt really wanna go out there......but AJs dad getting all pissy with hearn is just bad form imo.......he should have ****** it up with some class the way his son did
