Ruiz isn't Ortiz and if it was Ruiz who had Wilder out on his feet in their fight like Ortiz did, with that hand speed, he would've killed Wilder in there because Wilder wasn't even throwing any punches. He just stood there.
Ruiz did have very good hand speed. That and being able to take a shot and it was a wrap. It's hard to deal with even when you are really good.

SO basically you think Ruiz is better than Ortiz?? Ortiz has way more composure, tactics, and punch power he would easily beat Ruiz.

^This. It's a JOB and if you can't mentally perform the job you ain't a boxer.
I'll go so far as to say I'll bet dozens if not hundreds of pro fights we've seen have had a guy who suffered some sort of anxiety/panic in the locker room and we didn't hear about it because this is boxing, and guys aren't eager to sound mentally weak.

AJ's dad should have kept his mouth shut because he's done his boy FAR more harm than good by exposing his mental weakness. What a fool.

I'm just the one pointing out that Wilder makes excuses for poor performances as well but I don't see you talking about that when it happened. Joshua didn't make one single excuse himself. It's just the obsessed fans that are doing it. He is taking the loss like a true champ

Something was going on in that locker room and it wasn't a cup issue like Hearn is trying to say.
