      • If this is true, they should’ve stayed shut about it.

This is boxing. It’s a mental sport.

This makes AJ look like a mental midget on top of having a weak chin. It’s not a good luck. Just shut your mouth, get your sh/t together, come back stronger and win.

This will be one of those things that will be looked at in his career and see how ******ly his people handled a loss.

If this is true they did stay shut about it, no one from their team has said anything about a panic attack, they have in fact denied it, it was made up on the internet. Look at what they actually did say, no excuses, respect to Ruiz, will come back stronger.

            • I'm no fan of Eddie Hearn, but assuming this story is true, Eddie isn't to blame. You can't say that Eddie "forced" him to fight. The fighter is always in control. If he didn't want to fight, he wouldn't have gone out there.

Except his own father going around acting like a complete idiot. Screaming at Hearn in the ring, saying his son had a panic attack in the locker room.

                Making his son look weak.

                • I don’t think he would have been able to fight after a true panic attack. Nervous maybe.

                  • I remember seeing a documentary on Mike Tyson where he admitted that he suffered from severe anxiety early in his boxing career. He used to break down and cry a few hours before the event, and almost canceled the fight. But once he went into the ring, he would knock guys out in the first round.

Where? Where is he saying that, to who? You said they should have kept their mouth shut about it, I'm saying they did because the whole story seems to have come from a random social media post from some unknown. Plus a fake story from Peter Fury who told them it was fake and asked them to take it down.

Joshua's father seemed fired up at Hearn, not a great look but his son had his first pro loss so although regrettable not completely shocking.
