nobody seems to mention it was a short notice fight, a proper 2-3 months training camp specifically for Ruiz and the outcome especially after going 7 rounds with him will be completely different, Ruiz will basically look to do the same thing now it's all about crafting a game plan that would neuralize ruiz forward action and fast hands.. klitschko Vs Peter 1 although not completely the same should be re-watched and studied...the next chapter of Joshua's career is going to be the best one yet, just pay attention

So does this mean no more percentage and “a side” talk?

I don't get the big deal? this is HW boxing.. Joshua has an excellent record.. been facing most of the top fighters for the past few years (Outside of Wilder/Fury who was on a drug binge)

He got over eager after the KD.. and got punished/Never recovered..

This is the thing MMA has over Boxing.. look at all the fans here crying AJ is a fraud and is finished.. After losing one fcking fight..

No wonder these top fighters take YEARS to actually get in the ring with each other..

Cliff forgot that the fight of Ruiz vs Parker was extremely close and for most of fans Ruiz won that fight...

compared to 90 days it is...those extra 40 days might not have made a difference but could have helped in preparation for Ruiz but hey if the main man ain't making any excuses then who am I to make any excuse for him, what can I say other than the better man won on the night

$6 million is what I read

I agree that boxing fans put too much emphasis on losses, but, in this case, it's the way AJ lost that makes it such a big deal. He lost almost every round of the fight. He lost in the most emphatic and embarrassing way possible on the sport's biggest stage to a virtually unknown opponent (who has a +50 BMI no less) over whom he held every physical advantage. AJ was being sold as a future HOFer and an ATG. It is no kind of overstatement to say this fight is absolutely devastating to his career, earning potential and legacy.

It would be suicide for Joshua to take a rematch straight away.He didn't get blown away like Lewis with one punch .He was beaten by a better fighter who could take his punch and fight back ,faster and harder.Joshua made have met his Nemesis in Ruiz who forces Joshua to fight on his back foot where he is least effective and tags him almost every time Joshua throws his slower punchers.
