I've never rated AJ highly in comparison to Wilder and Fury, but to be honest there was a huge drop in his fighting level after round 3. He looked really lethargic, almost zombified, and his body language and even facial expressions were really weird. The temple shot did more than disrupt his equilibrium, he was showing signs of brain damage.

The acupunture mark on his cheekbone is a treatment for concussion. AJ said it was physio treatment prior to the fight.
He looked bloody useless and a shadow of his former self.

No excuses though, he got in the ring.

      All respect to Ruiz

If it’s true, that explains the weird look he had during ring walk and national anthem. He was out of it.

His jab was pawing more so than in other fights. He carried his left hand too low. I agree he just did not look right. I hope you are wrong about the brain damage but he definately was off..

            what "occassion"?

it was a tune up fight against a fat bum 😂

You probably just read the title and saw “AJ had a concussion before the fight” and flew in here thinking “Ahhhh these damn Brits mayne!!”

Like mate just take your time and read the post so you don’t embarrass yourself. I’ve had nothing but praise for Ruiz, he’s the story of 2019 no matter what else happens.

              "nothing but praise for ruiz."

claims AJ was CONCUSSED before the fight.

              no excuses! don't embarrass yourself!

you guys just don't think or see clearly, adn that's perfectly ok. you're almost all the equivalent of a "young" boxing fan and we're all seeing that now. just take your L and move on. nobody poisoned joshua. nobody knocked him out in sparring. he got his ass kicked by a guy with fast hands and solid enough punching power. that guy had 4-5 weeks to train and will likely beat his ass worse in the rematch.

you overhyped this guy so badly you need to go through hoops when he loses. jsut admit that you let eddie hearn tell you what to do and think for 2 years and move on.

how about you give some credit to the guy you actually saw who hit him with combinations? how about that? don't you think that's more appropriate than making a thread like this and menstruating all over the place? just thinka bout where you went immediately.

"well this guy just got his ass kicked in front of my own eyes. i'm a boxing fan, i should understand what it means when a guy at HW takes combinations and gets dropped. he was acting weird in the corner bro! instead i'm going to speculate that he was knocked out in sparring because eddie hearn convinced me that this guy was so good deontay wilder and tyson fury were scared of him."

sound about right? if not, you're not seeing what you're doing clearly

i love these excuses. they really are making me laugh out loud.

                fought wladimir klitschko
80K people in a british soccer stadium
gold medal in his early 20's
                international superstar

late replacement of a tune up is such a big occasion that it gets him knocked out

"all respect to ruiz, but the only reason he won is because AJ was a shadow of his former self."

you're literally calling a 29 year old in his prime a "shadow of his former self."

yall need help. like, actual help. not from your garbage state run healthcare system, either. a hot, nubile, american therapist with an actual degree or two.

See. All he needed to do there was hold and press the smaller man down until he recovered. Sadly he was never taught. McCracken is rubbish really.
