I really believe this fughin rematch could be really huge
It’s got everything going for it
Can Ruiz do it again or will he fail
Can Joshua bounce back or is he shot
The Mexicans ( Americans ) will be all over it
Then you got the British coming in droves
So many angles , so many possibilities

But they gotta start advertising this as soon as possible
Late shows , sports centres , the Hurd , and on and on

A federal judge in Manhattan yesterday barred Hasim Rahman from fighting any other boxers for a year and a half unless he fulfilled a contractual obligation to give Lennox Lewis a rematch.

You basically get sued for a lot of money

Joshua can sue for loss of earnings

        So 30m ish

I’m sure there would be more issues as well, loss of potential future earnings

I love how the Haymon crew are like, get sued but don’t give Joshua the rematch as are the ldbc community

They think this was a Douglas moment

I think it maybe was not, rematch is 50/50 imo
Yeah I don't think that's how it works mate.

IBF, IBO, WBA Super, WBO. Are you disregarding the IBO? I'm sick of the belts at this point. If belts get vacated and someone like Sergey Kuzmin or Agit Kabayel wins a title, you can guarentee the merry-go-round will start all over again.

Didn’t Lewis sue someone big once when they never fought despite it being in the contract ?

Not sure how else it would work

Wouldn’t expect wba and co to get involved

It’s a legal contract dispute no?

Didn't sue him big, no. He got his rematch, if he didn't Rahman would have lost his belt he wouldn't have had to pay him.

Ruiz would lose his belts if he fought someone else. He wouldn't have to pay a penny.

No. He wouldn’t be able to fight for a period of time. That’s all. Check Rahman Lewis rematch lawsuit.

As has already been said, no real reason for Ruiz not to take the rematch. He'll still be B-side, especially if it lands in the UK again, but he gets to make an asston of money, especially compared to what he just took. I don't foresee the belts being split up just yet either. We've seen before that the orgs jump at Hearn's command, especially when it comes to Joshua, and Hearn will want Joshua to be able to win back all three. I don't know if there are any pending mandatories or anything but those will probably be put on hold at least until the rematch is over. After that, who knows? Whoever's left holding those belts though, you can bet that they'll be pushing extra hard for Wilder before they run the risk of losing or having the belts split up by the alphabet clowns.
