Yea but he was doing that from the first round on... story goes he got KO'd and likely concussed in sparring and they went ahead with the fight anyway.

He was tired early for sure after a round he felt tired imo

Which is why when he got Ruiz down, the red mist came down and he went for it

All he had to do was be better in his shot selection, throwing wild hooks against a hooker at close range...

I don't know why this looks or sound like an inquiry but it seems everyone is looking for a reason why he lost. Maybe his opponent was just the better man on the night? If he was concussed in training then am sure the fight would be re-scheduled.

Yeah, I think Ruiz clubbing him right on the temple had more to do with the loss than this.

disagree with ppl saying he was his self until the third
he was fighting scared from the first round dave allen nailed it when he said he fought like someone who has been getting dropped in sparring
his reaction after was like he was happy to lose, whole thing was wierd
keep in mind ajs a guy who previously has had a problem with biting his knuckles, and bringing in a sports psychologists in all of a sudden? theres problems there for sure

I thought it was body shots you can't shake off, although I know temple shots aren't liked by boxers.
But ruiz did get a few body shots in also. So who knows what made Josh most uncomfortable? I'm sure I n a Q&A Josh could answer all your questions. But I'm sure Josh don't want to give too much away.

“Andy would you like to tell us how you beat Joshua?”

“Sure, here’s a twenty page detailed explanation on how I prepared for the first fight and how I plan on winning the second”

Ruiz, still strong, fired vicious countershots in retaliation. One of them cracked AJ hard in the temple and turned his body to jelly.

From there it was a downward spiral. Scary because AJ was basically out on his feet for half of the fight, looking lost and getting hammered by combinations.
Although I think AJ did look very strange and he probably wasn't at his best I agree with Mr. Deontay Wilder here. I don't like Wilder but yeah this is pretty much it. Joshua got clipped going for the finish carelessly and he never recovered. He looked out of it all the rounds after that.
