Signs that Anthony Joshua was broken mentally before the fight started

Whole fight was like one long panic attack for AJ, was a beaten man before the bell, the only time he looked at peace with himself was after the defeat, strangely.

He bottled it leaving the changing rooms and swapped groin guards to buy himself time to get his head right, once in the ring he was anxiously chewing on his mouth guard, he wouldn’t leave the ropes where he is normally pacing around pre fight. Then the 3 anthems, and no-one was home from the initial bell. He then gassed terribly.

Guy was broken mentally way before the initial knock down in my opinion.

He looked like his normal self until the 3rd round. He dropped Ruiz with an uppercut, and thinking he had him hurt, tried for a highlight reel finish. That's when everything went horribly wrong.

Ruiz, still strong, fired vicious countershots in retaliation. One of them cracked AJ hard in the temple and turned his body to jelly.

From there it was a downward spiral. Scary because AJ was basically out on his feet for half of the fight, looking lost and getting hammered by combinations.

He was just fine when he was knocking down Ruiz for the first time in his career. Just because you don't understand the series of events that happened after that doesn't mean there's some kind of voodoo at play.

I think people just look for anything when someone lose a fight like this, his conversation in between round after getting dropped is a sign of concussion.

He looked fine until the third round when he seemed shocked that Andy had the audacity to get up and fight back.

I noticed too that he seemed nervous, didn’t seem focused. He was messing with that mouth piece like he couldn’t keep it in. He was leaning on the ropes resting him arms up. But Ruiz was ready to go, he was really hurt in the 3rd round and I didn’t think he’d make it thru. But he is a warrior and he showed it. Cong**** to Ruiz!!

If Ruiz never got up, nobody would be talking about these things.

Sometimes you just lose to a better man on the night
