I've got no problem with how he looks or where he descends from. I do have a problem with paying for his education, safety and welfare with my tax and then being dumped on when he makes it big.

Let's not let the facts get in the way of claiming a country however lol

It's no big deal, just saying.

he moved to mexico when he was young, fought for the mexican national team, turned pro in mexico. his grandfather owned a gym in mexicali and that's where he learned to box, trained, and fought as an amateur. this is all well documented and i urge you to do some research. he almost qualified for the mexican olympic team. he had over 100 amateur fights as an amateur in mexico and fighting internationally representing mexico. he was a 2x junior olympic champ in mexico! you don't know what you're talking about if you think he did that in the US and need to do some research.

We left England and founded a better country. We took it from the stone age and made it worth something. Don't get mad that Mexico is still where the US was 100 years ago or so. If it's so great in Mexico, stay your a55es over there and stop exploiting us. Or, be appreciative, immigrate properly, learn the language and pay your taxes. This isn't a big a55 huge welfare office boy.

It is super simple. No semantics needed.

Canelo is infinitely more mexican than Ruiz. I know the marxists want to group people by appearance but Canelo's white freckled skin and red hair have zero effect on his nationality.
You're ignoring ethnicity though. Ruiz is American by nationality his ethnicity is "Mexican" in the extent he looks to be of mixed euro and indigenous racial heritage which is what the majority of mexicans are.

All mexicans even the Canelo types seem to cling to that "Raza" identity.

Richest, most powerful country in the history of the planet. What have you got? Avocado's? Tomato's?
I'll keep the arrangement we have and your people begging for scraps. Soon though, you'll be forced to beg and show respect though, instead of stealing.

                      His nationality is American.

                      His ethnicity is Mexican.

Ruiz no doubt is using his ethnicity to capitalize on the Mexican market. Cant say I blame him. Its about to make him a whole lot on money.
