I don’t know what happened with AJ last night. He lacked any energy and intensity and his punch output was dismal and he didn’t look like he wanted to win the fight. It could be just a fluke that he had such an ‘off night,’ but doing an immediate rematch may be too risky. If he gets knocked out in a rematch then where does that leave him?

This upset has really turned the heavyweight division upside down. I think that’s a good thing.

Wilder will be calling Ruiz out immediately. He should be anyway.

Eddie Hearn is in a Frenzy! He is likely sucking up to Andy right now try to make sure that he doesn't run away with those Belts or even worse start Dropping Belts and those Belt start Spreading Around!

AJ will take his rematch to avoid those Belts ending up in Wilder's hands or start Spreading Around HOWEVER, it will cost them A LOT of $$$. You thought Charles Martin got a lot of money, Andy Ruiz is about to get LIFE CHANGING MONEY!

What could happen is Haymon put him in a Soft Touch/Showcase fight as Unified Champion at Staples or Stub Hub/Dignity Health Sports Park and pack that place in and Andy make himself a lot of money on Top of getting even more money for the rematch. Even for the rematch, does Andy push for the rematch to be in America again? Does he push for it to be on PBC PPV this time and really cash in on top of the Guaranteed money he would have to be paid

This is a Disaster for Eddie Hearn make no mistake about it!

Would love a HW champ to get all belts and then throw them all in trash and just keep lineal title. Man can dream haha...

The last lineal champion was Lennox Lewis; folks can count 'Klitschko brothers" as champion, but that's silly (which is where folks basically did the amalgamated transfer from the brothers onto Wladimir).

Tyson Fury beat the best heavyweight of the last 10 years, but boxing scholars know for sure that he was never lineal champion.

Marketing technique used to drum up interest, lol

I think Joshua would still want an immediate rematch after the dust has settled, I'm not so sure about Hearn. It wasn't a one punch knockout or a win on cuts. Joshua got dominated, dropped four times and looked like he didn't want to be there after round 3.
                Doesn't change the blatant bait-and-switch.

May have been broken but has to be amended somewhere down line. Klit was head and shoulders above the rest for so long, I mean you don't want to go and give alphabet organizations the power to run the boxing world do you? Imo Fury the lineal champ. Most other non biased agree. Seems he is also the best HW out there right now imo. My favorite to watch is Wilder, I've had soft spot for him since his first pro fight he had here in Nashville, but I don't wanna become one those guys who just pick my favorite and then make up bunch of **** lol

Wladimir may have been the best, but not fighting his brother still meant that he wasn't lineal and there's no changing that.

                      The criteria is clear.
