No it does not mean Ruiz would lose the belts by passing on the rematch.
It just means he would be in breach of contract. He would probably lose millions in a lengthy lawsuit.

Back to back losses to Andy Ruiz would be a disaster for Joshua's career. I wouldn't want to be Eddie Hearn in the coming weeks. It's a risky fight because Ruiz has a big mental edge over Joshua right now.

Which, why would he want to do that instead of fighting a guy he just beat for more $ than last time?

Just like Floyd Mayweather Jr once said...’’....he has a whole country behind him’’ Talking about Pac and Canelo

Ruiz just joined that club, plus he has the belts that Wilder the paper Champ wants. Whom ever fights the I don´t always drink beer but when I do, I drink Tecate, stay thirsty amigo, is gonna get paid

You think Haymon would try to make it next (Wilder-Ruiz) if Joshua-Ruiz rematch doesn't materialize? I think it's a struck the iron while it's hot type of fight. Ruiz may lose or not look as good in his next fight(s).

You can make up anything about Haymon on here and people will simply believe it. Won't question anything.

I agree it makes zero sense for Ruiz to turn down a rematch.
I was just answering a question on of he'd be stripped
