This is going to be a long seven months of torture for AJ until the rematch. And Hearn isn't going to make it any better or easier for AJ by spewing comments that don't make sense.

This is like saying: I just lost my fortune overnight and I'm happy as hell I'm poor again.

You gotta think if AJ was slightly concussed by Ruiz's punches, then they may want to park an ambulance next to the ring with the rear doors open and paramedics standing on the ring apron if they ever decide to fight Wilder! Joshua seems like a good guy and he'll come back stronger after working on a few things. The HW division just got alot more interesting!

I think Joshua was gone from that one shot in the third. If you listen to him in the corner, he didn't know what round it was at the end of the 5th, then at the end of the sixth, he asks his corner 'why am I feeling like this ?'. He was showing some of the signs of serious head trauma - lethargy, confusion, disorientation, all going back to that shot above his ear in round 3.

At the end, I think he was so disoriented that he thought he was back in a corner while the ref did a count on the other guy (the usual situation), and he didn't fully understand what was happening when the ref was telling him he couldn't just go back to the corner for a rest.

I bet there was more than one medic picking up signs that he needed to get a brain scan pretty sharpish (which they did and no signs of long-term damage).

He's relieved? He should be distorught and crushed that he lost to a short fat underdog. Not only did he lose, he got his ass whooped. I swear these Brits are just cut from a different cloth. They're soft and most don't have that killer instinct that separates good from great. This guy is just sitting back and feeling relief?? Smh

Then thinking is not your forte. No way does Joshua even throw with the kind of power that dropped Ruiz hard if it was fixed. It had KO written all over it. That punch would have left other opponents down for the count.

I'm sure juvenile fans would have preferred to have seen AJ
throw a tantrum after his defeat, but Joshua should earn a
measure of respect for handling it so well.
It's not a matter of him happily accepting defeat.
He reacted in respectful & dignified manner considering that he
was obviously embarrassed about losing to a large underdog in
his first fight away from home. Especially considering all the
talk about AJ-Wilder that has transpired recently.
He handled being embarrassed in front of a large crowd very well.
Most of human beings don't handle that well, so respect for that.

Anyone who's read my posts before knows that I'm not an AJ fan,
but there is no reason to kick a man while he's down.
The egg on people's face is obvious now, so there is no need to
say "I told you so". Hopefully the most deplorable posters like
Sindee, Coksfan, and Robbie will learn from this humbling experience.

For what it's worth, I could see that Joshua was not himself
as soon as he began walking to the ring. He looked slightly
bewildered and less confident than usual. Similar to the body
language that Lucian Bute displayed while walking to the ring
to fight Carl Froch. They looked comfortable and confident at
home, but they looked like a fish out of water as soon as they
                  fought elsewhere.

I said this as much in another thread, especially after hearing his 105 Breakfast club interview. That is why AJ was so cheery after the defeat, because he no longer has to wonder when his ass whooping will arrive and dethrone him as the man in the division, it happened last night. Having that 0 next to his name wasn't good for him, hopefully he takes this moment and rebuilds himself like Wlad and Lennox did.

Viking blood over here f.uck face. Misogyny isn’t a particularly forward thinking attitude but then you’re no doubt a corn dog eating right wing Trump supporter with an extremely small and inefficient *****. Did Momma make you do bad things? Boo hoo.
