That doesn't equal quitting, he already said YES he wanted to continue. The ref could have said BOX! at that point.

I'm not saying AJ could have come back and won. But I didn't see him quit.

Joshua has the same look as spence when he gets hurt, just look like he loses all his fight.

Haters and trolls. Many, many people get off on projecting their negativity onto others. It's just the way life is. To do with the ego and all that. They get more pleasure from kicking a man when he's down, than anything else. They support a couple of fighters, but their bread and butter is hating on the ones they don't like.

Yea, people really let their inner hate and failure pour out last night.

Spit out his mouthpiece. Looked over to his corner to save him. Wouldn't come out of the corner when the ref told him let's fight.

            He quit

              He didn't quit.

Anyone who says he quit hasn't boxed a day in their life. He said 'yes' and wanted to continue but he was clearly not there.

Spit his gum shield out. Got up at the 8 count, turned his back to the ref and ran to his corner asking for help, held himself up on the ropes.

He was asked if he wanted to continue, he said yeah, but did not hold his hands up and and show he could defend himself.

                He quit.

Probably the right thing to do career wise because he was about to sparked clean out by Ruiz.

You must be new to boxing

Dudes being done and not wanting to admit it to save face is a long tradition. That's why we say it's up to the ref to protect them, they will not protect themselves. The gumshield is a classic giveaway. If you spit it out you'd better pop up like a demon and be roaring to go not resting in a corner looking meekly at your team.

Dude's spirit got broken. He wasn't going to come back he was going to get hurt.

No, he couldn't. After getting KOed you have to show you are capable of continuing and able to defend yourself.

Joshua had ample time and chose to show he could not.

He ran to his corner asking for help.

He didn't like the beating he was getting and could do nothing about it, so he quit.
