I wasn't old enough at the time, but he said many people from England flew over with high hopes of seeing Frank Bruno gain big time exposure in the U.S. by giving Tyson a hard fought fight. He said a lot of people were expecting Bruno to make it to the end of the bell, but he said a lot of people in England were disappointed the following day as everyone was quiet all throughout England since they were shocked at how it ended.
He said AJ's loss isn't as disappointing because he had fought Ruiz on short notice with not a lot of time to prepare and study for and made it to the 7th, unlike Bruno who only made it to the 5th with all of the time in the world to prepare and study.
Is he right?
