Why do Wilder fans assume Ortiz will lose in rematch?

Wilder was barely saved by the ref, and had it been a different ref it could’ve all been different.

That’s not what concerns me however, Wilder gets wobbled too. Just like Fury in the 12th, Wilder getting careless not trying to finish off Fury and got caught with some mean counters.

And your post is exactly why they are making the rematch. I think Wilder wins as Ortiz has gotten older and slower, but by NO means just assume he will win, especially last night... which is a good thing

If he is overrated then what is the need for the rematch? Didn’t Wilder win convincingly?

But Ortiz was stopped. It’s not like it was Tyson vs Holyfield 2. Has Ortiz ever won a belt?

Isn’t putting this on PPV risky business? What are the odds

Because Wilder promoters love robbing tv networks with pointless matches

Wilder vs Stiverne 1: Wilder UD12
Wilder vs Stiverne 2: Wilder KO1

Wilder vs Ortiz 1: Wilder KO10
                Wilder vs Ortiz 2: ?

Ortiz is old and may have peaked in that first fight. He wasn't extremely impressive against Kauffman or Hammer. And I think Wilder learned from the first fight, and will look better next time out.

Feels like this is the year of the upsets. But come on...you saw Ortiz last fight? He ate right hands for breakfast.

He was not saved by the ref, it was the doctor, and what happened was technically legal in New York State.
