There really ain’t nothing AJ can do different
He was outboxed, out gunned, Ruiz is legitimately faster. He was scared as holy hell. This is the wrong man for him. And he’s most likely going to KO’ed worse and potentially hurt. For as tough as you are there’s always someone tougher. AJ was so damn scared of what might happen if he continued in the 7th. He ain’t ever fight now pitbull before Ruiz. And all that he can do is save face by saying that. I really respect AJ tho. He took the L like a real man and showed he’s a true champ. Andy is too much of a bad ass for him.

I can totally see that happening. Haymon controls all the belts now.

If AJ is to get his so-called revenge he will need to 1.) clear his mind about what other Champs (Wilder) did in their last fight 2.) learn how to fight BIG against smaller opponents 3.) Gain some stamina and less muscular development 4.) learn how the jab is used in fights by taller boxers and 5.) don't let your opponents physical characteristics influence your fight plan.
That is a tall order to complete within the next few months and with Ruiz having more time to prepare, makes the task even greater. Because Ruiz will now come into the ring with a champion's confidence and coupled with his awkward style, makes his edge greater than AJ's. AJ will also have the fallout from this fight to deal with, which makes the task even harder.
AJ clearly loss focus with all the hype surrounding this fight, his USA debut, probably over-trained and bothered by the last Wilder win in rapid fashion.
BIG Props to Ruiz for coming into the fight ready to win and sticking to his game-plan. Rarely do such under-dogs win in such fashion. This is what make boxing great!!!!

AJ didn't care at all because he was in on it too, he knows the deal.
Anyone that can take a **** like that and keep pressuring Joshua stands a chance . His stamina was non existent last night . Maybe nerves I don’t know but he gassed ******ly fast for a champion
Still a big Joshua fan and I’ll try and get tickets for the rematch but Ruiz is all wrong for Joshua . Compact , fast and can ****
Bring on the rematch anyway and big respect to Ruiz for taking the fight to begin with and going hell for leather

AJ has to make major adjustments to beat Ruiz again.
This was not a fluke, Ruiz had his number and landed flush repeatedly. Even when AJ tried to keep a tighter defense and blocked some more shots after that 3rd round, Ruiz kept coming and found a way to land again.
AJ has to physically improve his stamina and then make significant adjustments to his style to be able to beat Ruiz. Ruiz also has faster hands which AJ can really only adjust for but not completely negate. Its a tall order.
