I'm shocked to find out that Ruiz beat Joshua last night. Why did Joshua lose? Was he not prepared, since Ruiz was a replacement for Miller, is Ruiz a bad style match-up for him, or is Joshua just not as good as advertised?
Why did Joshua lose?

For one he was hyped like crazy so wasn't as good as everyone made him out to be. Then he showed he has no heart last night. Ruiz showed his a true warrior and has heart, but Joshua showed the opposite, that he's not a true warrior.Comment

He got careless trying to finish Ruiz off instead taking his time. Amateur mistake. He never recovered from that temple shot Ruiz landed. Same thing happened to Hurd after Williams dropped him. Had cobwebs the rest of the fight.Comment

Either Ruiz is massively under rated or Joshua is vastly over rated.Comment

This right here,
He was in LaLa land after the shot.Comment

Ruiz fights like a smaller weight fighter. With fast hands, multi-punch combinations, and bodyshots.
I think that combination of things made heavyweight Joshua extremely uncomfortable. Especially the body blows, they looked like they were sapping his endurance.
He also looked nervous about the occasion for whatever reason.Comment

Joshua didn't seem like he took Ruiz seriously.
He wasn't expecting him to be so fast and everytime he got hit he went into survival mode.
Plus his horrible stamina showed up.Comment
