It's amazing how far Ruiz had fallen under the radar. He had only one loss coming into the Anthony Joshua fight and that was to Joseph Parker which was a very disputed decision.

However, he's been fighting his entire life. He had an amateur pedigree with over 110 fights. That's nearly three times as many as AJ had. So naturally he was the more skilled and fundamentally sound of the two fighters.
