The same will happen to Wilder when he faces a big puncher. Whyte or. Ruiz jr, for example.

Hype is over, where are several fighters that can become world champs right now.

      Nope, not me bro.

I called it, I knew Ruiz would cause AJ big problems.

Well at least AJ is made his money before he was exposed.

No coming back from this one.

I’m still in utter shock. And I’m starting to think there’s some conspiracy and ritual involved. Josh’s body language all week has been off and there was an article on Forbes earlier this year predicting that Josh will lose this year.

Then you look at the scar on his face on fight week, how Miller failed the drug test like he intentionally did it. Everything is just bizarre.

This is a great HW era BECAUSE OF stuff like this.

Fury upset Klitschko and Wilder, now Ruiz beat Joshua.

HW division is very exciting because nobody is safe, anybody can lose to anybody.

I'm a big Wlad fan but his era was so boring because he was so much better than everybody else. This isn't the case now.

Most shocked I have been in a very, very long time.

Always maintained AJ was overrated but I gave Ruiz no chance at all. I didn't think he'd have any real sustained success. Never been so happy to be proven wrong.

Genuinely thought he'd blown it when he let AJ off the hook also.

Really happy for him he seems a great guy, rooting for him to land that Snickers deal.

I have also noticed all of those things you mentioned, and felt some kinda su****ion myself. After watching the media workouts and final presser, and seeing an article about AJ's facial injuries, I think AJ was looking drained as hell. Who knows what those injuries to his face were caused by? Looked like scarred up sc****s so doubt it was sparring.

Maaaan, I lost £5 on PBK drawing, another £5 on N'Dam not lasting the distance, and I came sooo close to lumping £10-15 on AJ inside 6 rounds to make my money back... so glad I didn't!

What shocked me the most, the first time Ruiz jumped on AJ and threw a power combo he dropped him. Then every time after that he jumped on AJ he wobbled or dropped him. I don't see how AJ can negate that in a rematch. Looks like Ruiz is just all wrong for him stylistically. Short, fights small, and is just too fast with great timing. It's a lethal combo against a big cumbersome meathead like AJ.

Actually no. At first of course it is a shock, but I never saw Joshua as being invincible so not really. Just a great night in boxing. Happy about that more than anything.

Now I can't wait to see how Joshua comes back for the rematch.
