Can Ruiz Become A Bigger Mexican Star Than Canelo?

You mean like Jack Johnson being the first black hvwt. champion?
And that Joe Louis was only the second black heavyweight champion?
I think it's a huge deal being the first Mexican heavyweight champion.
It is to them anyway.Comment

Well hate to break it to you, but this has probably happened in every sport throughout the history of time, and it's perfectly natural. Especially if you've got a country with a boxing heritage like Mexico and somehow never had a HW world champ.Comment

Champion or not, he's still a sloppy fat **** who would look 14-15 years old were it not for that goatee.
The nationalist will appreciate a heavyweight champion of Mexican descent, but kids won't want to be like Andy Ruiz Jr, and women won't want to **** him.
Tough luck, but that's reality.Comment

Winning the rematch wont be enough unless it's at Wembley
also he has to beat Wilder, Fury, avenge the Parker L & defeat upcoming heavyweights that are of the level of Deontay, TF, etcComment

That doesn't explain why, though.
The 1st woman to beat a man in a legit 3min per round boxing match ?
10000 %
The 1st downy guy to be a healthy guy in a legit 3min per rd fight ?
100000 %
The 1st midget to win a legit fight ?
100000000 %
The 1st WW to win a HW title ?
1000000000 %
That nationality aspect is pretty much meh. ImhoComment
