I guess he could've been something more than what he was IF he put more into boxing, but thats a big if. Some people exaggerate. But just to let people like Bozo and Diego know, just because you think Sanders was a good fighter doesnt mean you're a Wladimir butt licker. Anytime a thread about Sanders comes up the Klitscko police come chargin in.
lol,,exactly. not like anyone said he should have been a champion. the thread starter just pointed out he was a big offensive puncher with speed and skills was underrated through most of his career but like I said there's a couple clown on here that cant take hearing anything positive about a white fighter and we all know who they are

whats funny is that hasim rahman's resume is almost exactly the same as corrie sanders, the only thing making it better is that he beat sanders in a fight he was getting his ass beat and was lucky to not get stopped in.

other than that rahman has only 1 respectable win in his entire career - lennox lewis. just like sanders had only one -klitschko

yet rahman is a paper champ, a complete piece of ****, and nobody says anything nearly as bad about him as they do about sanders.

corrie sanders was naturally a much better fighter than hasim, had he dedicated himself more it wouldnt even be debatable.

The bottom line is the thead started called Corrie Sanders " One of the most underrated heavyweight talents in the last ten years".

          That's absolute non sense.

He's rated right where he belongs. A powerful fringe contender.

Not to sound dumb but what exactly does "fringe contender" mean?

You are right, as I said people do exaggerate. The only good win Sanders has is against Wladimir. Nothing else. When I talk about him I say its a shame that he wasted his talent but I dont think he was underrated. Hardly anyone knew who the hell he was until he beat Wlad. The only other good opponent he fought was Rahman and lost. How can he be underrated??

              That's exactly what it is.

They're doing the same with Peter. They were calling Peter a bum since he recently challenged Wlad again for the belt. They were asking, "what has he done in his boxing career "?

Tua didn't accomplish anything in his career other than get a bull**** win over Rahman and a draw in the rematch. Sanders did nothing in his career other than beat Wlad Klitschko. Good for him, lol. Stick to golfing, Mr. Sanders.

How was he a fringe contender when he won a belt? The guy has made a succesful career out of boxing, and he didn't even try, of course he's underrated, because a lot of people don't realise the talent he had/has.

I thought Sanders had a lot of potential. I really liked him, and if he could have done some conditioning work he could have gone far.

Rahman isnt even a paper champion, his resume sucks. He loses to every big name he fought with the exception of Lewis which he won one of the two. He got lucky that fight aswell... I think he beat a old Holyfeild aswell. Seriously though Rahman is a Arturo Gatti of the Heavyweight division minus the charisma, heart and character of Gatti.

Actually thats a aweful metaphor I used there as the only thing they have in common is they both lose to top competition. I like Gatti though and hope he beats Baldo before he retires, but I think Baldo will win it.

I think Peter will KO Toney for the first time too, Toney isnt as fast now and Peter throws some wild haymakers, hes going to catch Toney eventually. Its a bad style matchup for Toney as he likes to get in close with a much larger man who has a granite chin. If the fight goes the distance I see Toney winning a easy UD. My final opinion is Peter by KO.
