I like Ortiz' attitude here. Make no mistake, he's ready for war. Sure, he could get caught again. It happens. But if he stays alert and keeps up a heavy defense along with throwing at least as many punches as the first fight... Wilder will likely have too big of an uphill battle to win. Wilder has one weapon, the punch. Ortiz has several. This fight will be even more interesting than the first one.Comment

I am a proud fan of both but did ortiz forget deontay was sick before they fight!? Did he forget wilder was only 218 ? Did he Ortiz even watch is last fight wilder as now bulk up and trust me a bulk up wilder is a very dangerous welder use Brazil as an example wilder will stop you again kong! But it is gonna be a great fight none the lessComment

Run out of gas? No, you let wilders s left foot too close to your right southpaw stance foot. To allow him to detonate his right hand on you.Comment

Wilder is DESTROYING joshua’s American debut. Two announcements have completely taken the spotlight away from the dazn fight that no American sports fan is talking about anyway. There are reports that Hearn went into a profanity laced tirade when wilder announced the fury fight.
I don't know why as he has a good chance against AJ. Yes he has no boxing skills whatsoever (I'm a better boxer as was my Grandma), but he has a devastating punch that can finish anyone at any time.Comment

I for one will definitely be watching Joshua vs Ruiz tonight since I'm fortunate enough to have a subscription, but can't say the same about any upcoming Wilder fights and the fact they plan them all to be PPV adds to my decision to gladly pass.
I digress, but in their feeble attempt to successfully become another MayPac money maker, I think Team Wilder have overlooked one very important detail. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao were considered the best in their class for nearly a decade, having been at the top of everyones P4P list during that span. Their careers and popularity are HOF material.
IMO at current running, there is only 1 member of Joshua vs Wilder that has possibly broken into the same realm of only poularity and scratching the surface of hands down best in his class(I'm confident in time he will break through also). He also has made it into the top 10 P4P rankings of a number of respected groups albeit near the bottom to date. Problem is, its required there be "2 to tango" as the saying goes.Comment

That's why these duckers wait for guys to get old. There's a specific reason they do that. If they are overrated hypejobs like Wilder, then even when the opponent is old, they might still make the opponent look good for a few rounds, even 7 rounds, but at some point, the age will factor in, either taking away speed, power, stamina, punch resistance, or all of them. Old Ortiz hurt Wilder, but never dropped him. The greater velocity and force of prime Ortiz's punch might have dropped him. The greater stamina and punch resistance of prime athletes would have allowed Ortiz to keep up the assault when Wilder was hurt, instead of letting up and letting Wilder recover and get a second win and get back into it, and it might have allowed Ortiz to take more punches without being out on his feet himself, which would have given Ortiz a better chance of making the final bell and winning on points.Comment

If Ortiz is in fantastic shape he should have at least even chance of winning, it was his inferior conditioning compared to Wilder that let him down in the first fight, he was ahead and boxing very well but he punched himself out in the round he nearly stopped WilderComment
