is the Contender ring announcer just absolutely painful to watch AND listen to during the introductions?

Question about the 2nd season of the Contender:

In the first season, when the boxers fought each other, the production team of the Contender edited the fights to make them more "dramatic" and "rockyesce" by using slow motion and sound effects. As a boxing fan, I could not enjoy these fights because of that. When ESPN showed the season finale, and the rematch fights they were great because the Contender production team didn't mess with the fights.

My question is very simple...Will the Contender 2 edit the fights as they did in the first season, or show the fights in real time as they are supposed to be seen.

all of his major fights have been at lightweight, it is his most effective weight, he only fought bums at 147. to fight a guy who has been effective at light middle was just dumb.

I didn't watch last season because it looked like it would be a ****** show. I decided to give it a chance, but I think my early assessment was correct. Is all we get to see of the fights is highlight material? If so, I was right and this show is not worth the time it takes to watch.

I hear you bro, I hate the highlight only thing too, although im sure the average Joe loves it cuz its excitement all the time.

For us hardcores, I guess we love to see some highs and lows during a fight huh. Kind of see the bitter so we can appreciate the sweet.

im sure they would play whole fights if not for time constraints, although they could always cut some of the crap drama out and let us see more fighting.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants to rip my arm out just so I can have something to throw at him. The guy breaks into a sweat just by reaching for the mike. They REALLY need to replace him.

You hit it on the button. For one hardcore fan the show loses I imagine it gets like 3 average joe viewers b/c it only shows action. I would prefer them to show the whole fight uncut but I still like the show. As a fan I would say that we gotta support this show to get boxing more into the mainstream as is used to be.

I can understand them not showing the fights in their entirety, since a single fight would take up nearly the entire time slot and there wouldnt be anytime to show anything else between the fighters in the house or backstories. But it would be nice if they released the series on dvd after the season and included the fights in full.
