    Official CONTENDER 2 Thread

Beginning Tuesday, July 18th, ESPN begins the new Contender 2 Series. I am starting this thread for 2 reasons.

    1. I loved the first series. I know there are so many opinions out there concerning the first series, but as a fan, anything that brings boxing more the mainstream...God Bless them...

    2. In order to be curtious to our friends here at The Scene, this will allow for us to mix it up without giving it away to people who are behind in the series or just dont want to know for whatever reason.

So, I ask graciously, here is where we can TRADE SOME PUNCHES in regards to The Contender 2. Protect yourself at all times....LOL.

since the guys are a lot more competitive, i think theres gonna be a lot more knockouts. i loved season one, but there werent any devastating punches. i expect that more will land this time around.

And last time, sergio mora's career became incredibly popular after the contender, he may even be able to fight jermain taylor. The guy who wins this time may get the same type of shot at a semi-big welterweight, such as judah or badly or gatti.

A certain site already spoiled who the 2 finalists will be. And they were right last year although I hoped they were wrong, cause Ishe Smith was CLEARLY the best talent out of last year.

Anyhow, I'll watch the highlights of the fights online again if they show that again. Don't care about the show itself that much. I'll probably watch like the pilot tonight and that'll be it. Last year they hosted the fights (highlights only) online on an official site. The highlights were about 1 minute longer than what was shown on TV I think.
