People have long said Deontay Wilder's record is padded with bums and tomato cans. Even as champion he somehow manages to fight soft "mandatories", and a bunch of even softer voluntaries. Knocking Luis Ortiz out in an even quicker time (as I expect), proves little to anybody and is a waste of time. People are going to start getting on Wilder again for the same reasons they used to. They've never stopped actually, and he's giving them ammunition. Most people think Dominic Breazeale was a bum opponent. He only fought Tyson Fury because he expected a shot fighter and a complete walkover. Deontay seriously needs to stop this chit or he's going to become an also-ran.

Wilder sure knows how to pick them.
His age is on the TV screen before every fight. Moron.

It he was really 50, aj would of cherry picked him by now

No big mystery what went on here. Team Wilder made damn sure that they would NOT be available for an AJ fight this fall. Wilder-Ortiz isnt even until September, so no urgency whatsoever to announce it this week. Pretty obvious why they would not wait even 6 days to see if Joshua talks could go anywhere.........

          Bullseye.
I think Wilder puts on another highlight reel performance.
I'm hopeful that AJ puts on a good show vs Ruiz.
Ruiz's best chance is to fight short, crowd AJ, & nullify his reach

Are you paying to watch AJ?
I had DAZN since the announcement that the WBSS would be on there .
Last week I missed a payment and my subscription was cancelled . Along with my $9.99 payment . I tried to pay the next day and was told I gotta pay $19.99 a month now.
I won't subscribe again until the WBSS finals and it'll only be on the months they got something that interests me.

They talk a good game and then come up with some DAZN deal where they try and tie Wilder up promotionally. Wilder is betting on himself and if he continues to win he will earn more than the 100 mil DAZN offer. Breazeale, Ortiz, possibly Kownacki, a Fury rematch and then A.J. The A.J fight alone would mean 40 or 50 mil for Wilder.
I admire how committed you are to backing Wilder but a couple of questions...

Do you really think that Wilder would commit to a undisputed showdown with Joshua without a rematch clause? That's what he was screaming about last year that was missing from one of Hearn's original offers.

You know DAZN approached Wilder because of his comments about not being signed to any platform, right?

You also know that Joshua nor Eddie Hearn were directly involved in the $100m offer negotiations, right?

I think you are overestimating how many people are going to watch Wilder v Ortiz 2. I cannot see how Wilder is going to earn anywhere close to $100m...ever. He's 33, nearly 34 when he fights Ortiz again. He'll retire before making that kind of money.

If Wilder's comment about 'knowing the big fights weren't going to happen this year' isn't enough to make you stop and wonder why he knows that, then I worry for you man.
