Dazn has hardly any viewers therefore AJ‘s awareness level won‘t rise much with his first fight outside UK.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible Fury will be fighting Ortiz later? Would make for a good story that all others are willing to fight each other but Hearn cannot get deals done.
I think this is a real possibility. But with Fury, you have one thing today and the next tomorrow so who knows.Comment

Of course Ortiz would fight Joshua in a heart beat, and he is very happy to fight Wilder again. Win or loss against either, Ortiz makes several million in each fight and secures a modestly wealthy rest of his life. Wilder's financial future is already secure (unless he squanders it). No where near as wealthy as AJ but very comfortable all the same. The fight between AJ and Wilder is icing on the cake for both of them money wise. The real reason their fight needs to happen is for the fans of boxing. When and if it happens it will settle a lot of questions between them and between their fans as to who deserves to be the champ.Comment

Al haymon and shelly finkel knows better that the bombsquad facade ends as soon as wilder signs on the dotted lineComment

I agree with AJ that win or lose in the Wilder rematch, Ortiz will be more eager to fight him than Deontay will. I made a post about it yesterday in response to the idiotic rhetoric that Ortiz is ducking AJ. It actually makes more business sense for him to rematch Wilder over an AJ fight.
But I disagree with AJ that beating Wilder for whatever belt Deontay is holding(sorry, I don’t really keep up with the belt nonsense) will make him undisputed champ. As long as Tyson Fury keeps winning, someone is gonna have to beat him to become the true, unquestioned heavyweight champion one the world. I don’t care if AJ or anyone else has 100 trinkets. And since the Wilder thing isn’t happening this year. AJ should turn his attention to trying to get a 2019 Fury fight to try and knock that piece of the “undisputed” pie off.Comment

Joshua shouldn't even be talking or thinking about Wilder. We have seen too many fighters getting humbled the moment they took their eye off the opponent.Comment

Who cares about all this political nonsense - you only have to look at Fury and Wilder's records to see they rarely step-up and face top-level opponents. Joshua is a novice compared to them and his record is way better. Stop hating on Joshua and put pressure on Fury and Wilder to take the AJ fight.
Also we can see Ortiz, Fury and Wilder ducking the Whyte fight. Whyte is ranked number 3 in the Ring magazine rankings.Comment

Practically for him in this situation, he will either have to get a low reward fight with one of the top 3 by sacrificing the present in the hope of winning and then cashing in later on. Or, wait till he gets mandatory in one of the sanctioning bodies and take his chances there. For that too, he will have to make the relevant fights not the most lucrative ones. If it doesn't work for Wilder, take Joshua instead or vice versa.Comment
