If Ortiz was fighting Joshua this weekend, what would Hearn be saying about Ortiz right now?

That he's a massive puncher, a southpaw, the biggest challenge in the division, had Deontay out on his feet and would be the WBC champion if the doctor didn't delay the next round, the undefeated uncrowned WBC heavyweight champion and that live on DAZN this Saturday you're essentially getting to see the crowning of the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world since Lennox Lewis.

It's a pointless fight, a rematch nobody wants to see.

I hear you. Just wish Ortiz didn't look like complete crap in his last fight and turn 50 since the last the fight though...

Actually when the offer was on the table before team Ortiz eventually rejected it Hearn said he thought Ortiz would last about 3 rounds. The article was here on boxing scene.

The Ortiz fight would have been simply about beating him without any dramatic or controversial moments. Yes Hearn would have said Ortiz almost had Wilder etc but he wouldn’t stretch it as far as him being some kind of emeritus champion.

The conclusion was very..... ermmm conclusive lol, Ortiz was completely finished. Hence why this rematch seems so pointless, that and the fact that in the year and a half since the first fight Ortiz has looked progressively worse. I’ll most likely still tune in but I sense this fight will probably be “disappointing” compared to the first.

They asked Frank why Finkel is coming and he said it was "to see what a crowd looks like".

seriously to make boxing bigger you need events like this not quarter filled Barclays center, you need this, you'll get a crowd, a proper atmosphere, a party.

the one thing you do see in other sports is really rich sportsmen who do sometimes value playing in front of big crowds but boxing in the US with the exception of Canelo its just what did the gate bring in ie if its two billionaires in Las vegas watching the fight thats enough .. sad really.

Well said! That's exactly what Hearn and AJ fans would be saying!

I really hoped that they would've had Ortiz fight Kownacki for the right to face Wilder! I hope the WBC mandates Wilder to fight the winner of Whyte vs. Rivas next, instead of Kownacki!
