Last year was 3 I believe.

Do you have a list? Been trying to compile a list of PPVS.
Yea I've been collecting PPV buy info FOREVER lol. I wish I saved sources cuz some of the actual numbers I buy less than other numbers.

I still casually keep up with it every 6-12 months (haven't updated all the recent PBC PPV's yet), but not super into it like I used to.

I've even tried to compile some closed circuit numbers as best as I can cuz that was kinda like the old timey "PPV" for Ali & Patterson & guys from the 50's to the 80's. Its made a bit of a comeback in recent times with Floyd & Canelo.

Always wanted to see a list of EVERY PPV from back in the day until present and what days they were on.

Apparently the big fights back in the day used to be on Monday's.

Its pretty messy & maybe nonsensical to an outsider probably, but maybe I'll send you some details when I clean it up a lil sometime.

And sh^t just noticed off of your tip that Patterson vs Johansson II, the first closed circuit event on my list, which was shown via TelePrompter for $2 a pop for 25k purchasers in 1960 was on a Monday.

And Liston vs Patterson I was on a f#cking Tuesday.

Larry Holmes vs Gerry Cooney went down on a mfing Thursday. Damn those old timey promoters just said f#ck it give me any day of the week & we can make this happen.

SRL vs Hearns I was on a Wednesday?

We are for sure living in a computer simulation.

Never thought to look into the days of the week.

Here's a random PPV year for those curious:

              2005

March, Morales vs Pacquiao I, 340k buys

April, MAB vs Mzonke Fana, 70k buys

April, Margarito/SSM co headlining PPV, 220k buys

May, Tito vs Winky, 520k buys (Biggest PPV of the Year)

May, JCC vs Ivan Robinson, 100k buys

June, Tyson vs Kevin McBride, 250k buys

June, Floyd vs Gatti, 340k buys

July, Taylor vs Bhop I, 370k buys

Aug, Rahman vs Monte Barrett, 30k buys

Aug, Mercer vs Briggs, 10k buys

Oct, RJJ vs Tarver III, 400k buys

Oct, Chico vs Castillo II, 200k buys

Dec, Taylor vs Bhop II, 410k buys

And look the world didn't collapse in 2005
Big difference in pricing tho. A lot of those PPVS were waaaaay cheaper. I remember 19.99 PPVs. Hell top PPVS were around 40 bucks. Now all the PPVS are 80 bucks no matter how bad it is there is no discounted price. That's the biggest issue not just how many in 2019 but each is price gauging you to the max.

I'm not saying its not in play but its worth noting that 5 PPV's at $80 works out to the same money as 13 PPV's at $30. And I did look up the Mercer vs Briggs & Rahman vs Barrett PPV's & they were both $30. No clue if that's high, low or average for that time doe.

Yeah I think a few Ali fights were in Monday. Hagler-Hearns was Monday I think too same as Tyson-Douglas or some big Tyson fight maybe. Can't remember but they were in some random weekday lol.

I wonder when did the big Sat Nite Fights start to take place?

I was just going through random fights moving towards the future & they started landing on Fridays more often after some of the fights I mentioned & I think the first fight I saw that was Saturday was a Holyfield fight but idr which one now. Maybe Foreman.
