And even if they agree on the splits they still need a network with the money to sign off on a guarantee or PPV cuts if they go that route.

Solid PR move by Joshua doe.
Joshua isn't tied to DAZN, I believe he is tied to Sky though

Notice he said "they" should sit us down face to face and make a deal. AJ tell Eddie Spaghetti to get his hand out of yo azz.. working yo mouth like a puppet.. Eddie thinks this is Burger King.. and he can " have it yo way.." offering the man 15 million.. lying about Wembley not being available in September.. then fighting Povetkin at Wembley in September.. AJ you are not a free agent.. so what good is sitting down an talking? U ain't no boss. Crying about Wilder not coming to yo fight.. when you didn't even watch the Fury fight on t.v live.. nor did you come to the Breazeale fight last week.. this ain't Burger King punk.. u can't have it yo way..

Because neither team is willing to take that risk. Me personally I think it's a good idea it adds more drama to the fight.

Maybe give the extra 20% to the loser instead?

Both are understandably concerned that their commercial value is diminished if they lose. Why not give the loser the lion's share, to encourage both to take the fight and risk the loss? The winner is worth so much more in their future fights and this way the loser gets some extra compensation since they'll be worth far less in their future fights.

He's got a matching deal with DAZN for his US rights. I just don't know if its ongoing or expires with the Ruiz fight.

With Joshua coming to the states I assume he realizes the money is bigger here for the Wilder fight so idk that Sky is a problem with the Wilder fight if it happens in the US.
