I've got to think either Barrett has a chance or, if Valuev can beat him that easily, that Valuev really is a legitimate top heavyweight.
On paper, Valuev looks like "the man" in the heavyweight division; he's undefeated in 45 fights and has beat a world champion in John Ruiz. He also has collasal size in height and in weight.

In reality, Valuev hasn't proved ****. In his victories against WBA champion Ruiz and fringe contender Larry Donald he's had less than stellar performances and was lucky to come up with the "w." And if this were not bad enough, Valuev has continued to defend his belt against undeserving opponents who don't pose any real threat of beating him.

Another thing I find really annoying about Valuev is, that his trainers have stated that "Valuev is still learning how to box." WTF, if in 45 professional fights you don't know how to box, then how the hell were able to rack up so many wins.

In conclusion, don't believe the hype.

Yea, Ruiz was robbed in that fight. I didnt see the Donald fight but I imagine it was the same ****. But I think he'll beat Barret just on sheer size. Barret's good but he's a small HW, he doesnt have a good chin nor good power. Barret will win most of the rounds but I have a feeling he'll get stopped late. I hope not though, I cant wait till someone beats Valuev.

No Barrett is tough, he has prety good power. Poor defense though. He had alot of problems with the Bigger Wlad a few years back. he beat Guinn when Guinn was at his best. so i would go with barrett in this fight. I still don't understand how he or MCbride gets a title shot before Brock.

Don King is planning for Valuev to beat the lowest quality of opposition tolerable so he run his record up to 48-0.(marcianno's record 49-0) Then he's banking on big ppv numbers for the record tying fight and the record beating fight(50-0). Or at least that's what I think DK's up to.

not too sure about that. valuev is very beatable. the problem for barret is that he probably doesnt have the strength and power to really pressure valuev. valuev will probably get by with his size and huge strength advantage but monte sure has a better chance then beck did

you might be right, but i think barrett my be the wrong guy, but then again, i think barrett is a King fighter. but if Valuev does win, do you think the 49 and 50 guy would still be weak? or would the give brock or brewster a shot?

speaking of Beck, how in the heel did he get a shot after being KO'd by barrett, then losing to Austin

Atleast McBride has won his last 9 fights by KO including tyson. although i don't agree with it atleast he has some reason behind that but *****g Beck in there was just crazy.
