if you gamble real money on these fights you gotta love a sure thing.

obviously valuev/barrett should have never been sigend either.

i mean cmon, barrett lost his last fight and it was more than a year ago.

they may as well bring michael jordan out to have a dunk contest against lebron james
If Owen Beck was good enough then so is Barrett.

its funny how ****** they think people are, and its funny how ****** don king can be.

there is nobody in america that wants to see either of those matchups, and theyre bringing it to MSG? sometimes it seems like the boxing game is just ****ing its own ass.

Just doesn't look to be enough to even get close to a "champion" by 2007.
After watching, Wlad dismantle Chris Byrd to win the IBF title, Toney and Rahman draw in a semi-entertaining fight, and Liakavich stun Brewster in a dramatic and entertaining fight; I thought that 2006 was off to a great start for heavyweight boxing.

I was gravely mistaken. Although I'm intrigued about the Toney-Peter fight, I'm dissappointed that it's taking so long for Wlad to get back into the ring(why such a long layoff!) and the fact that he isn't challenging any of the other beltholders for a title when he said that he wanted to after winning the IBF belt.

As for WBA champ Valuev, he shouldn't even be referred to as a champion after choosing Monte Barrett for his next opponent.

So much for unification or even partial unification in 2006; theres always next year.( I'm a red sox fan used to getting my heart broken every year)

What about this fight? It is listed on Warriors Boxing, but I don't think it is televised. Friday July 28, is the fight for number 1 contender for Wlad. Sultan Ibragamov is fighting Ray Austin. Sultan will destroy this clown. I am shocked that Austin even took this fight. Its less then 2 weeks away.

If I'm not mistaken, FNF's is hosting this fight. Should be good.

Is Monte Barrett really that bad? I haven't seen him fight but his record looks pretty good.

I've got to think either Barrett has a chance or, if Valuev can beat him that easily, that Valuev really is a legitimate top heavyweight.
