I actually think a lot people are sleeping on Ruiz. He has fast hands, throws good combos, has decent power and good chin, he's tough. Plus he's Mexican.

He'll make this fight entertaining for as long as it lasts. If it goes the distance I won't be surprised either.

I don't see it. He's credible, but I just don't see how he gets anywhere near AJ.

People like to have a dig at Hearn but I think he's played fans perfectly on this one. His message has consistently been "casuals will think he's no good, but REAL boxing fans know how good he is".

Basically he's made people embarrassed to admit that they think he's nowhere near AJ.

Ruiz having some success on the inside for a first few rounds, ****ing Joshua to the body but getting caught with an uppercut a lot. Then Joshua finds his range, keeps Ruiz at the end of his jab, and catches Ruiz with the right cross again and again.

Fight gets stopped on cuts in round 10. No knockdowns.

That’s more like it! I know little of Ruiz, besides his highlights, never caught the Parker fight live. I know AJ doesn’t always exploit his size as much as could, but he’s still 6’5” well over whatever Ruiz claims. I thought Tua was gonna be champ one day at first, but then he missed a couple big hooks on Lewis and got nailed with a telephone pole right hand. I appreciate the clean and straight to the point reply. Restores faith in these forums.

Many a bum has survived the night vs a champ. I doubt Andy has the tank and jaw to survive but i wouldn't be surprised. When one experiences a brain jolting shot, that survival mode gets stronger in some guys.

With this calmer more patient Joshua I think its a solid bet Ruiz makes it outta round 1. Just for the fans who flew across the pond Joshua mighta wanna go kinda slow & give them a few rounds.

Has Ruiz been dropped before? Can't say I've payed that close of attention to him in recent years, but he looks pretty sturdy & I don't recall seeing him dropped before.
