Ruiz will make this 'fun' for as long as it lasts and will have a go. Unfortunately this is not going to be good enough to fill the humdinger of a bill that Hearn promised , although Joshua is a PPV fighter this match up isn't a PPV fight.
Hearn should stop the nonsense about being afraid of Ruiz's style and sell it as an event to show case Joshua in the US. against an opponent who on more than one betting site he's 100/1 on to beat.

Imagine what Ruiz would look like if he had the same bodyfat % as Wilder? He'd be a light heavy probably, or cruiser weight for sure.
Hearn needs to stfu with the nonsense. Should have delayed the fight a few weeks and fought Ortiz....someone who actually has a chance. No top heavy will fight for titles with 3 weeks notice, unless you are someone like Ruiz, who has nothing to lose.

If we go back and watch the first couple of rounds of Povetkin v Joshua, that right there is the style Joshua doesn't do well with. He didn't figure Povetkin out, Povetkin just tired and his defence opened up and made it easy for Joshua. Question is, is there anyone who can replicate those first couple of rounds by Povetkin for the full 12 ? Ruiz is not that guy, he might look ok in there for a couple of rounds, but without feet, he's a static target to incoming and heavy artillery (like Breazeale was).
So the style that might give Joshua fits is a Povetkin with a better engine (aka Usyk).
Not to say its the only way to beat Joshua, but Povetkin showed one way to win rounds.
