Quite a few others would be threats.

"incrementally" - the guy's been incremental long enough. He needs to be tested by a true threat. Someone will equal skill and/or power.
Who's to say Moran was zero threat ? If Haney had lost then it would have been a "test" ? This is just semantics and your opinion of what a "test" is, who a threat is, and what level Haney's at.
Read my previous posts. It's my opinion. IMO, it was not a gimme fight and gave me a better measure of where Haney is at.
There are levels to this. Throw him in with Lomachenko far before he is ready would certainly be a test but unnecessary and unwise. Just because it wasn't the test you may have been wanting, doesn't mean it was not a test. A test being, a measure of competing against a higher level than previously faced. Moran wasn't a higher quality opponent than Haney's previous bouts ? Who has Ndongeni fought ? I dunno, maybe you think Haney is more advanced than I do. Putting Lomachenko against Haney in 2019 ? Nah. Moran told me more than Ndongeni did.
I listed all the fighters I could see next for Haney. Moran wasn't enough of a threat for you. Fine. It was for me. As I've stated, I expect to see another step up next time out. Still won't be Loma or Davis (in another division ?). Peace.

I like this division cuz of Loma and it's closer to my own "fighting" weight (when I'm in shape). For me, I was unsure about Haney before this fight, and it was definitely a measure of his progress.
But no, at least 1 or 2 fights before considering Loma. There's Abdullaev, Fortuna, Campbell, Selby, Crolla, T. Lopez, , Nakatani, Easter, Barthelemy, Pedraza...all a next potential test before Loma. He's on the cusp. To be fair, there's very few qualified to challenge Loma, right ? Somebody with a real resume...
Nice I recognize most of those guys. Would be some good fights I think.

Who the fu.ck you are talking to lol?

I never even watched the kid until now and I thought he had an impressive performance in a step up fight, and after the fight I heard him speak and he seemed like a good kid, much unlike the usual prospects the USA puts out.

But be you man, don't let me interrupt your completely tribal, biased view on everything in boxing and life!! You will never get anywhere that way but be you!!

Difference between you and I is I would view Haney the same regardless of who he was affiliated with, and you would be a huge fan if he was with PBC and now you don't like him if he is with DAZN. You're a joke and not a real boxing fan.

My reply was in general but if the shoe fit wear IT!

Yeah... I don't do the DAZN vs PBC vs Top Rank BS so try that BS with someone else. I had Haney in my Signature YEARS AGO been a fan since Amateurs, I'm very happy he got himself a big deal regardless of who it is with

It is funny to see the Wagon fill up all of a sudden though. Weeks ago "Teofimo Lopez Beats Haney" now "Haney is the next Mayweather" it is a lot of PHONIES on this forum

I made the thread so it would seem it was to me.

Yeah I don't really follow the little kid weights in boxing so I don't know the pecking order of any of those guys but Haney looked good and seems like a good kid. If anyone saying that bothers you so be it.

I didn't watch the whole thing...had it on in the background...but I liked his style in there and getting the finish like that is probably good for his confidence as well. And he seems like a good kid with a good team around him.

Will be interesting to see what his next few years looks like. At only 20 he has a lot of time ahead of him...hope he doesn't end up getting the Lubin treatment if he steps up too early.

This right here is exactly what I'm saying. People are raft jumping based on good looking performances against lesser competition.

Nothing wrong with becoming a fan but don't bash these guys then all of a sudden become a fan and pretend like you was always a fan. This happens A LOT on this Forum
