As long as they aren't for a title, I don't mind.

They are great for fighters that wouldn’t otherwise happen

        But fights like Garcia-Peterson, Floyd-Canelo, Manny-Cotto, Cotto-Martinez shouldn’t have been allowed

I am totally against catchweights. We have come to a point where Side A tells Side B; I will only fight you if you drain yourself to the point of zombie face. That right there is taking advantage of being Side A. Abuse of power if you may. Boxing needs to be regulated because it´s off the tracks. There needs to be two weigh-ins. One official a day before the fight and a second 30 minutes prior to the fight. If you don´t make weight not only does the fight not happen but you get fined and suspended for one year. Enough is enough. Big guys punking little guys is not the way to go. Big guys need to fight big guys

i dont have a problem with CW if it makes sense. posters on here makes such a big deal about this but they've never been in a real fight before. fighting someone 2x the size above you is really hard especially at a professional level! so i dont mind if both fighters agreed to meet in the middle.

Garcia-Peterson should have been for 3 belts

                Floyd-Canelo at 154, Manny-Cotto at 147

Cotto-Martinez at 159 makes a mockery of the catch weight system

Even when meeting in the middle ruins one guy !

Its two fold a CW is fine so long as no one is weight drained to make the weight, and there is the problem when the little guy wants a CW and he knows it will effect the other guy.

At top level you cannot afford to give away weight and be handicapped by training to make weight not training to be the best you can be.

i dont agree. that's just sour fans making excuses. if a guy naturally fights at 147 and the other guy naturally fights at 130 and they both agree to meet at around 140, it's a fair game to me!
