So far his biggest challenge has been against an already beaten , ring rusty, 40 year old Klitchko and he had to get off the floor and win against a gassed Klitchko. Now his management lo balls any real challenge so he gets to fight fat Ruiz and yet he STILL needs a rematch clause and a carefully selected set of judges and referee to even do this. With AJ’s tendacy to get hit with straight right hands. So the fight could very well turn into a who lands first type deal. And if that’s the case. I like Wilder’s chances of surviving anything AJ lands. As opposed to AJ surviving getting blasted by arguably the hardest right hand in the history of boxing.

This is a fight that needs to happen. A great heavyeight fight "dwarfs" all others. I was a wide eyed 11 year old for the "Thrilla in Manila". Even at that age I realized the importance of it. That era of heavyweights kept the sport in the headlines. It's a shame that Fury wouldn't rematch Wilder right away. That fight would have already happened and the winner should have fought Joshua. He didn’t even land the windmill right on Fury, he caught him with a left hook and slapped him with the windmill right in 12th rd. In the other round, Fury slipped.

Povetkin is greater than Ortiz based on everything and Josh battered him. Dillian Whyte is the 4th best heavyweight in the world and Josh sparked him out cold. And he retired a hall of famer in Wladmir Klitschko.

Wilder has never faced that level of competition in his career. No points for beating a 49-yr old with heart problem who didn’t pass the medical before the fight and a fat Fury who was coming off a 3-yr lay-off & mental/drug issues. Wilder actually lost both fights.

I like Ortiz and Fury and am not a Wilder fanboy, but I don’t understand — how did Wilder lose to them?

I had the Wilder-Fury fight a draw, and in the other fight, Ortiz didn’t beat the count in the tenth.
