Did you guys see that interview? I'm not sure I can find it but he basically said that this time he went back to strength exercises and that sometimes he couldn't sleep because of his body pain due to strength exercises.

He looked very skinny for a lazy man. Maybe he had stopped doing heavy exercises and was just doing some pushups here and there.

He put on 5 kg of pure muscle and then some.

He did something different in this camp alright.

I think his weight loss had a lot to do with stress. Personally, he looked ill to me in his past two recent fights.

His trainer Jay Deas stated that he got back to strength training and eating properly for this fight.

Also, if you noticed; Wilder came out working behind the the jab off the back foot as he did in his last two previous fights against Bermane Stiverne.

Wilder had to eat 6 meals a day to gain that weight.

whatever he did for this fight he needs to keep doing it, he didn't look well for the fury fight.

Over the last year and a half he had really bad luck. Broken hand, torn bicep, and was still recovering from the flu when he fought Ortiz. Both his Fury and Ortiz training camps were affected by health issues. He couldn't train consistently, and that caused him a lot of stress. When he's fully healthy, eats enough, and builds his strength, he's close to 230 lbs.

He said he went back to doing the basics, whatever that means lol.

Him adding a little bit weight was a good thing as he got back to what he was a few years ago. But maybe he got a little too psyched up for the Ortiz and Fury fights thinking he would have to be better than he was against others and came in too light?

Either way, he needs to stay in the 220-225 range the rest of his career.
