Ali was nowhere near the level of Mayweather. Mayweather is one of the greatest talents boxing has ever seen. Ali, not even close. You must be trolling?
Ali was one of the best “boxers” the division has ever seen. Of course he had some tough fights, but sometimes you meet fighters that can apply pressure to even the most pure boxers.
Maidana was generally seen to be a few levels below Mayweather, yet he had a style that could cause problems for a pure boxer. So are you going to tell me Floyd wasn’t a boxer?
I think you need to just stop being a cheerleader for anything Matchroom related and educate yourself a bit more on the sport.
Ali was beaten around the ring and wobbled by many fighters like Cooper and Doug Jones who weren't even close to being world class. Then add in the 3 losses (Yes, 3 losses) to Norton, The brutal smack down against a come forward bar room brawler with one arm in Frazier 1 when he was getting hammered. Then fight 3. His other loss to Young which is another robbery that showed Ali couldn't fight on the front foot. The pounding he took from Foreman with those dodgy loose ropes that were definitely altered for him to lean all the way back to avoid head shots. So many fights where this so called master boxer was shown to be nothing of the sort.
Don't buy into the hype and the bullshlt and see it for what it was without people trying to tell you what he was for what ever reason. You have eyes don't you and a brain?
I've been a fan for nearly 30 years so know what i'm watching. Maybe don't be so condescending next time. Ali is the most grotesquely overrated Fighter the world has ever known with all these claims about him not being anywhere near close to being true. Rocky Marciano is a close second.Comment

If AJ goes down and out, then he goes down and out. But that doesn't dispute the levels of crazy from Wilder fans. Never has any fighter had so many delusional, sycophantic fans that accept his non stop lies and contradictions. They're all as delusional and dishonest as each other. Not forgetting cowardly to their core.Comment

Golovkin beat Canelo both times, and Fury beat Wilder. So yes, they're still the true champs. Who they're fighting next doesn't even come into it.Yeah, he's the real champ just like Golovkin is still the unified middleweight champion. Nice dream, but it's time to wake up and face reality: Gennady is taking on Steve "Egg" Rolls in a stay busy non-title fight, and Fury is battling Thomas "Spaceballs" Schwartz for an imaginary linear belt that only exists somewhere in that big bald head of his.Comment

Well you don’t come across like a guy that has been a fan for over 30 years. You usually come across like a guy that started watching boxing when AJ beat Wlad and then jumped on the Sky Sports bandwagon.
Anyway Ali had his losses and controversial wins i.e Norton, but no way was he overrated.
He was probably in his prime in the mid 60’s, yet was beating guys like prime Foreman arguably a good 8 years past his best.
You don’t have wins over Liston, Foreman and Fraizer if you’re overrated.
At the end of the day, you can pick almost anyones resume apart if you have an agenda. I’m a Floyd fan but if you want to play devils advocate, then we can say he lost to Castillo who was good, not great. Had a very, very close fight with Maidana who was nothing special. Got hurt by Corley who wasn’t great.
Or lets take Marvin Hagler. Lost to 2 fringe contenders. His biggest wins are against guys that started 2 or more weight classes lower and lost to one of them too.
See how easy it is? You can tear anyone apart if you truly want to.
Things happen in boxing. I think Fury is the best heavyweight in the world, but he had a struggle with McDermott on his way up, got dropped by some average fighters etc. It’s just how the sport goes sometimes. You can still be excellent without having a flawless career.
That’s why you sound like a guy that has been watching boxing 3 years.Last edited by deathofaclown; 05-23-2019, 06:20 PM.Comment

There's only one way this fight goes. Wilder has to land his best punches first. If he allows AJ to unleash one or two of his deadly combinations on him I'm pretty sure his skinny legs will snap in half.Comment

If this fight goes the distance Joshua wins, but then again you have two heavy hitting heavyweights whom can knock either one out. It's interesting!Comment

Give the people what they want Deontay.
Also $50 says neither guy KOs each other. They will survive all 12 rounds.Comment
