That story about Povetkin KTFO of Ortiz as an amateur was a case of mistaken ID. Iy was a German with a similar name to Povetkin who KO'd him.

Povetkin was levels above Ortiz as an amateur and has a much better pro resume. I would pick him to win if they fought, but it would be a good, competitive fight, imo.

As a boxing fan, if Wilder vs AJ can’t happen next. I’d prefer Deontay Wilder vs Povetkin and AJ vs Ortiz. I don’t want to see DW vs Ortiz II. In-house fights aren’t always clean.
          Good scrap that.
Also like Whyte V Wilder if Wilder still ducking AJ, but maybe he's still ducking Whyte lol.
Joe Slo-Mo-Joyce V Ortiz is another one.
Povetkin V Ajagba. Yes, already. That Efe kid is technically sound and will be a handful for anybody.

Joshua V Wilder can be made now, by reading between the lines of Wider's usual.talking in riddles I'm.telling you now they'll fight Ortiz next and I think Fury 2 in Spring can be made - if not they'll take Kownaki. If he comes through those he will agree to finally grow some balls and fight Joshua. I dont like the inactivity of any of the top guys. These lads should be out 3 x year minimum. There are great matches to be made. Fans should not get too bothered if a guy has an L, and theres plenty good prospects now too. Let's go champ!

Wilder won’t fight Whyte. PBC has protected him throughout his career from punchers with vicious left hook and I’d be shocked if they let him go anywhere near Whyte.

I like Joyce vs Ortiz. But Ajagba is too slow, green and flat-footed for Povetkin. He’ll get get killed. I prefer Ajagba vs Chisora, Lucas Browne or Stiverne.

Joshua vs Wilder looks like it’s gonna happen in late 2020 or 2021. Wilder’s team want to work on his skills before feeding him to Josh and cash out.

Whatever happened to this article? Any follow up on it?

Povetkin Has Agreed To Fight Usyk, Luis Ortiz or Dillian Whyte

                  Did Ortiz duck Povetkin?

Podvetkin has the goods to fight wlad a serial champ. Ortiz wouldn't go anywhere near wlad.

Fair enough- I like Ajagba V Chisora. Derek never hides so it wouldn't last imo. Dont like Stiverne and I've never been sold on Browne.
These other US guys, Hunter and another dude - maybe too risky for them to take on Efe atm, it sucks that having an L these days is the end of the world - because there are so many hw (and other) fights that could be made without the politics / protectionism that exists on boxing now.
