    Why Don't Boxers drink Gatorade???

All the other sports provide their athletes with drinks such as powerade and gatorade, so why not boxing? Golden Boy Prodmotions are dumb****s for even complaining about that bs against vargas. I think drinking gatorade will be better for the sport. In terms of marketing and all that ****.

Sure for marketing, but nothing else. You can't sweat out gatorade like you can in the commercials. So that's a main reason why boxers don't drink gatorade. They need to be able to work a sweat, but it's hard to do that with drinking gatorade..

so wouldn't that be better for the boxer? He won't get exhausted as fast?

You would think it is, but you cant listen to everything you hear. The best way to still be able to rumble through 12 rounds is good conditioning.

Many studies have proven that drinks like gatorade are much better for u then water. Its about 90% water already, but its got sugar and stuff for energy. BUT, u can NOT dump in on ur boxer to revive him, thats half the reason that they have the water in their corners, so gatorade wont be used to often.

ANd when people work out in gyms and stuff, they want to LOSE weight, and gatorade wont allow u to lose as much. Water is much more profitable then gatorade, which is why gatorade is now making water

The Gatorade that football and basketball players drink are highly watered down, so there is minimal amount of sugar in the drink and plenty of water in it.

Is Gatorade allowed now? I saw Mayorga drinking Gatorade in his fight with Cotto.

I think it's because boxing is different from all other sports, in that the objective is not merely to score more points, but to knockout your opponent. If Gatoraid makes you perform better in boxing, it means it makes you put more hurt on your opponent. Whereas in any other sport it just makes your energy raise so you can make it down the field a lil faster.

Depends on the contract, I think some allow it, others don't.

Drinking Gatorade isn't bad, it will definitley be beneficial compared to water when it comes to high intensity sports.

You could just make your own, water lemon and salt and you're good to go.
