When he fights Fury, Joshua, and maybe Ortiz. The gain is the growth and the money they will make off of broadcasting those three fights. Showtime lost money on every fight on the Mayweather deal but Cotto and Pac. When asked, they said the Pac fight paid for the entire deal alone. Its called investment, just like DAZN has been doing throwing big money around. Coukd the investment not pan out for Showtime or DAZN...sure, but you have to pay to play.

Well Wilder is f3cked. Fury won't be fighting off ESPN. And Hearn has said he'd fight on another platform only if Showtime can offer more than DAZN are willing to pay.

Looks like Espinosa is going to be getting his P45 soon enough with the money he's needlessly paying Wilder for absolutely no gains.

This is going to be a bumpy ride for him.

Showtime has been slipping for over s year across the board. Wilder did like 1.2 last year and 790k this year and most their other cards are lucky to do 500-600k.

The people who were gonna watch the fight, tuned in, the ones who were watching the game, weren't that interested in the fight or they would have been watching.

I'm surprised by these numbers, his exposure must have grown after the Fury fight surely. The fact he has done 400k less than a year ago has to be very worrying for showtime especially when they are paying him $8M more than stiverne 2.

You can bring up google searches & youtube views etc all you want, thats not paying showtime if it doesn't convert into showtime viewers or buying tickets.

Hopefully this will increase pressure for an AJ or Fury fight.

This is good considering the Warriors Blazers game attracted so much attention. I was flipping back and forth between the fight and the game. Right after Wilder koed Breeze, i went right back to the game.

Fight would've easily gone over a million if the fight lasted longer. But these idiots don't understand that.

Only in boxing can Wilder get more viewers than Canelo for around the same price but it's considered a failure.
