Winky Wright stayed busy while he called people out, Wright fought whoever he could fight. Another thing is in the media you didint have people left and right saying YES ID TAKE WINKY BRING HIM ON. But with margarito you have Paul Mitchell/Shambra Mitchell/Quintana/Judah. Not to mention, Margarito isnt even close to the calibre that winky is, you cant compare them. Margarito isnt staying busy, hes just calling out one p4p fighter AND THATS IT. Winky called out anyone and everyone he could.

Another thing is that Winky I think won that fight against Vargas, and im not alone in that theory. Winky did whatever it took to get his shot.

You say why not have 2 top fighters at welter go at it? How about 2 B class fighters like Judah/Margarito go at it, or Quintana etc. Thats what you should be saying.

Paul Mitchell called him out, Judah wants him, shambra mitchell wants him, Quintana REALLY wants him, i dont wanna hear that ****, this isnt tyson were talking about. Arum is convincing Margarito to just go for the homerun, you think this is all Margarito? You honestly think that Margarito has the connections to do all this hyping himself? Cotto's personality is similar to margarito's which is why im using him as an example, he doesnt speak english, doesnt talk much **** and goes with what his team tells him. Its all in what your promoter has planned for you, if margarito loses to another contender, he wont be **** for arum. If cotto loses, its not really a big deal because he has a future and a legit fanbase, Margarito will have to hit a halfcourt shot to ****in even dream of having a fanbase. Thats why this **** is happening and you people are really buying.


I dont believe everything floyd says, but his track record shows me hes not afriad to get in there with guys who are battle tested and strong. HIS RECORD, not his mouth. But his actual statistical fight record.


Margarito isnt anywhere near as rich as the top contenders and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there, and if that means going along with Arums media tactics than so be it, ****, id do it.

Arum has done a marvelous job of confusing everybody while putting his fighter in the best position. Margarito is a good fighter, and a decent champion, but he is not an elite fighter. He has great power but not enough natural speed and boxing ability. Arum realizes that he is at a crossroads point of his career. Either he becomes a big draw now, or it doesn't happen. Hence what better move than to go for broke against a fighter regarded by many as #1 p4p. If he loses, oh well, that is what was supposed to happen. He still gains invaluable exposure at little to no risk. And if he wins, whoa, look out. The big money fights will be rolling in. A person in Margarito's situation would have to be insane not to call out Floyd.

I dont blame him for going along with arum, that doesnt mean that he is deserving or that floyd is afriad which is the entire point of your argument and the argument of the article. DLH and Vargas came up by taking fights with contenders, even Vargas as much as i cant stand him, was an olympian, fought guys like Quartey/Wright/Campas. Why is it that DLH/Vargas could get fights with contenders but Margarito cant? Vargas was far more dangerous than Margarito, yet people took fights with him, so why cant Margarito get that?

Your aknowledging that Arum is playing media games to put a mexican superstar on top, your awknowledging that his fanbase is next to ****, your also letting me know that you agree he doesnt have next to any legit contender wins on his resume.
