  • Comments Thread For: Fury: I Came To ESPN To Make Wilder Rematch As Big As Possible

Tyson Fury has never been one to mince his words. On Monday, he let his clothes do the talking before he even had a chance to open his mouth. The unbeaten British heavyweight made the rounds on various ESPN platforms, strutting his stuff in a custom-made suit bearing the images of all of the lineal heavyweight champions throughout boxing history.

This is all BS/ with all those "homes" Khan/Crawford had, how many buys did it do? More than Fury/Wilder?

I think not, the rematch would have sold like crazy because of the personality of the fighters, and the compelling first matchup.

I am a huge fan of fury, as are many Americans at this point, he needs to be honest and just state that he didn't want the Wilder Smoke just yet, he wanted to earn a couple paychecks first.

First fight was rigged. Wilder held back and carried the crooked ***** cheat. Same as GGG/Clenelo the fighters and promoters will try to turn it into a 5 fight WWE charade to rip off the consumer peasants.

Cannot wait to see the rematch. Not sure whether I’ll be in he USA or the UK when it happens but me and the better half are both from GM and we’ll certainly be watching

Tom Schwarz will help draw interest no doubt. Next up let's take it up a notch and fight BJ Flores for the WBA interim title! On UK PPV.

If that is true that he wants to make the rematch as big as possible why is he fighting a non rank guy and then says that he is not at ESPN to fight bums?

Fury messed Wilder and the WBC around pretending he wanted the rematch whilst all along he was plotting to move to Top Rank and ESPN he had no intentions of rematching Wilder and now he’s fighting the 9th best heavyweight in Germany the 58th ranked Tom Scharwz it’s embarrassing

If Wilder vs Fury 2 doesn't happen by the first half of 2020 or next, I can't say I believe Fury's words here. Each one of the top three heavyweights are making bank with their exclusive deals to their networks. Not only that but they know that they carry names that the public wants to see. So they can fight Joe Schmo and the public, even reluctantly, will tune into watch them. They're milking it, but if they start fighting each other by Fall 2019 and/or Spring 2019, then I think they're serious about making it happen.

Bullshit! It's more like you went to ESPN to avoid Deontay Wilder's punching power. That's what you mean. You don't ever want to get punched liked that again.
