That's not what happened. The ring side physician is who stopped the fight to check Wilder, had nothing to do with the ref. The physician works for the New York State Athletic Commission, not PBC, and was following the rules that were implemented by the NYSAC, after a boxer died from head trauma. Wilder took a lot of shots to the head in the previous round, so the doctor checked him at the start of the next round. It was done in fights before that, and fights after. Don't indulge in the troll games with those idiots, Far better to discuss the facts.

They should have checked Wilder during the minute corner work. Not let him recover for a few minutes extra. That's a ****** ruling that favours a hurt fighter. It also could lead to house favourites getting looked at to give them more of a chance even though it isn't warranted. It is disgusting what Haymon and Ringside doctors did to Ortiz the night he faced Wilder. Beyonce Wilder was hurt going into the corner and they held on to him after the minute in the corner was up extra longer so he can get himself back together. Actually, Wilder`s best win is Stiverne. he is ex world champ and he was world champ when Wilder beat him the first time. But one Joe Joyce stopped Stiverne for his 8. pro fight so you can`t say Stiverne is a good win.

Whyte fought and beat better competition than Ortiz.

If Wilder fights Kownacki now and beats him easily, his list will look much better. because Kownacki has better resume than Ortiz.
