"Retirement Money" implies a retirement. Big Payday would be a better way to say what you were trying to say.

And sure with the specifics & with how things shakeout there are a million roads to take for Fury or Wilder or Joshua or anyone notable. Thats a whole lot more to dissect.

The main thing is Fury is the furthest from being out of the game of the players right now & I don't think he sees Whyte as much of a threat to him getting a big payday nor should he so that fight seems doable specifically after what both sides have said after the initial sh^t said that made it seem like it had no chance of happening next/soon.

I tend to doubt its next myself hence my surprise that that didn't seem to be the case up til a couple days ago.

I have no opinion on Fury vs Whyte EVER happening. Its not some fight I must see or anything. I definitely wouldn't put the odds of it happening at some point at 0% doe.

Randomly if it were to happen thats a 80/20 Fury fight in my mind. Not a good fight for Whyte to take. Think he'd have been better off taking that Boogieman fight before than Fury for a WBC mando if thats what ultimately were to happen.



I don't buy this at all.

I tend to think Fury is the last active fighter in the game among himself, Joshua & Wilder no matter how the paydays shake out from here out. Boxing is legit in his blood.

This seems like its more for the UK market , they can sell out the Principality in Cardiff or the O2 Arena easily with this one.

Why should he? Fury will fight only guys like Schartz while waiting on Wilder rematch or Joshua fight.

Whyte is big risk fight for no title. Fury doesn`t need that.

There are obviously easier ways to stay on the unbeaten path I don't suspect anyone with a high double digit IQ score would argue with you there, but there are fewer, if any, higher profile fights then Whyte that I'd give Fury a 80%+ chance of winning right now.

If this TR/ESPN/Fury thing is going to go anywhere they need to make fights that people care about & the reality is no one gives a f#ck about this Schwarz fight & no one is gonna give a f#ck about that Charr fight, thats been brought up, & Charr probably gots the same chance of beating Fury as Whyte does lets be real. Whyte has just marketed himself better than Charr & has made himself into a name to some higher degree than most non-HW title holders can make themselves.

Whats the confusion? It was the terminology I took issue with not the Joshua or Fury $20M fight you are suggesting. I get what you are saying with that, but retirement money & take that he's NEVER gonna fight Whyte suggests he's looking beyond boxing. (Or maybe you were just suggesting he's scared of Whyte, which I'd take bigger issue with than the terminology issue if thats something you believe). Big payday suggests he's looking for what you are ACTUALLY saying or so I would assume.

And I don't disagree with that. EVERYONE is looking for a big payday ultimately. Fury is no different with that stance. And almost everyone who's got some pull already is looking for the most sellable, least risk fights for next til they get that big payday. So I think Fury is riding the same wave as most with that strategy...although in fairness to those other guys idk that the Schwarz fights fits in with what most guys are doing as that falls well under that minimal requirement.

He's just looking for mug pay days with no risk, arum and Espn will only pay the going rate after they've over paid for the **** fight with Schwartz .. arum will not lose out, warren will gain for just selling fury to America and will make money but not as much as thinks unless of course he steps up and by some miracle the networks can do a deal..

That was my thought process as well. Surprised Wilder even said THAT about Fury. Those two are basically BFF’s at this point. They’re going to cash out on the rematch and use the profits to buy a French Villa together, and spend their retirement growing some sort of exotic fruit.

I think Wilder and Fury are on the same page! Wilder acted so pissed about Fury signing with TR, but I think he actually agrees with Arum's approach to the rematch! He doesn't want to sign with Arum, but I think he sees his vision! I just would rather see Wilder fight the Whyte vs. Rivas winner next, than a Ortiz rematch! I want Ortiz to fight Kownacki, to prove he's still that guy! I think Fury fights Pulev after Schwarz!
