He just fights anybody and everybody. That is refreshing in a world where everyone else is trying to artificially pump up the public's demand for fights.
Canelo doesn't "marinate." You have to respect that.

What? he ducked GGG for 2 years, and even handed his WBC title to him. He does take the big fights though, fair play to him, but he did wait for GGG to look older.
I do believe we'll see Canelo fight mostly big fights now. DAZN won't be giving him $350m without a big say in who he fights and get some return on their investment, it's not charity.Comment

Canelo fought Borat 14 months after he tossed the WBC title for imposing a negotiation deadline on him.
And Borat could’ve got the fight sooner if he wasn’t such a difficult diva that thinks he is the superstar. Borat simply didn’t take the fight until he was happy with every aspect of negotiations, which is not Canelo’s fault. Dude clearly is not the businessman type.Comment

How soon GGG fans forget...The narrative around here in the months leading to the first GGG Vs Canelo fight was that Canelo was going to get knocked out before the 5th round
They weren't saying he looked old then.

props to him. at age 28, he faced everyone he is able to face. whether it took him a year or so. doesnt matter. there is a reason he signed with dazn fighting 11 fights for 365$ guaranteed.Comment

Dummies are always complaining about Golovkin’s age when it comes to Canelo. Like how dare Canelo be born so much later than Golovkin.
Canelo and Golovkin are 8+ years apart in age. They simply would never both be in their prime for a fight with that big of an age gap.Comment

Didn't GGG take step aside money to allow Canelo vs Cotto to happen? What? he ducked GGG for 2 years, and even handed his WBC title to him. He does take the big fights though, fair play to him, but he did wait for GGG to look older.

Team GGG: No Cotto-Canelo Without Step Aside Deal
WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) is going to push to fight the winner of the June 6th bout between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and challenger Daniel Geale. Golovkin, who holds the WBC interim-middleweight title, is the mandatory challenger to Cotto. If Cotto wins, he is expected to face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the fall. Golovkin wants to return in September and has his eye on the WBC title. So far there is no step aside agreement in place where Cotto can make another voluntary defense.Comment

Before that contract Canelo went down 2 pounds to fight Floyd when he was 23 years.
Pues.y GGG never wanted to moved down or up in weight to fight.
Before the contract Canelo fought with Trout.
Cotto had a rematch clause and did not try to avenge his L
Before the contract, he fought with Lara that has a boring style and it's a difficult style.
Shu.t up man
This guy is doing great things and has a great careerComment
