BTW there's nothing official about the Mirror. It's a guess.

It sounds like the purses were declared , but I'm surprised nobody is reporting it.

And Espinoza pays Al Haymon alot of money to make sure thats what happens. Rather than Showtime giving all their best fighters exclusive network contracts they just give Haymon promotions the contract and then they dont have to pay the actual fighters. Not fair on the guy who actually put their lives on the line but it saves Showtime money so who cares eh.

And they say he is just an advisor?
Interesting . Where is Shelly finkle in all of this?

Yes, backend money. The same money promoters make to carry a boxing event on a TV network. The entire card was put on by his own promotional company, plus there's endorsements, winning bonuses, etc. The fighter's purse is only a portion of what most self-employed PBC fighters make.

The money from TV etc is known before and goes to put on the event and pay the purses. There's no backend money like with a PPV.

If it went 12 rounds (36 minutes) he still would have gotten the same money.

I wonder how much Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon get from Wilder's purses?

That's a very good pay day for Deontay Wilder. I couldn't have been more proud of him at this time. His hard work, patience and perseverance has finally paid off.
